August Wrap Up* & September TBR | I Am Back!!! *But is there anything to really wrap up????

Greetings readers!!!

It feels so good to be back! *basks in gloriousness*

It’s only been what? Two weeks and I have missed this space like crazy! Truth be told, I needed those days off to deal with Real-Life Rendz and thankfully everything turned out great, so there is no more need to stresssssss. (Well for the most part)

Anyways, it’s been quite an uneventful and yet very packed month for me. I read some great books and got some even greater books that I cannot wait to share with you! So I shall cut this intro short an just get on with it!

wrap-up-3

What Rendz Read

LOL so you know how last month I gave myself a “work” and “pleasure” TBR to complete…….yeah ha that um did not occur.

So what did I actually get to?

A really interesting and fun read, a blog tour stop will be coming this September!

Mirage by Somaiya Daud
One of my highly anticipated books that disappointed me just a little, but I did enjoy it!!! Review to come!

Watcher by A. J. Eversley
A Canadian YA read for a special Canada Reads feature coming later this fall!!!

Give the Dark My Love by Beth Revis
Which I buddy read (sort of) with Angelica @ The Book Cover Girl. A review will come after our discussion!

And that’s it. Yup. Which is not so bad considering how busy I got later on in the month but still, I didn’t get to read as much as I wanted to!

THE BOOKISH FEELS

This is a new blog feature I am hoping to keep up with! Let me know what kind of feels you would like me to talk about!

Other Bookish Going-Ons

I Jumped Onto the Bandwagon…

I watched To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before and then I watched it again another two times. I’ve never read the books…but sometimes I just need a good cheese movie and that was it! It’s no cinematic masterpiece, but I loved the plot, the characters, the dramaaaa and fake dating is one of my #1 tropes!! Plus, Noah Centineo is now my celebrity boyfriend…heck he’s already made it to husband status…HE MOVED THE POPCORN!

I Attended An Event…

HCCFrenzy had a fall YA preview this past month! It was amazing! I got to meet up with a friend and because I got there first, I–to my true introverted self—stuffed my face with food to avoid chatting with other bookworms. People my social awkwardness is ridiculous and I need to work on it. I’m thinking about doing an event recap so stay tuned for that possibility!

I Watched….

Narnia again. Only the first two movies. And I felt magical afterwards. Just thought y’all should know 🙂

I Also Watched….

One of the most amazing films of the year, Crazy Rich Asians! I read the the book earlier this year and watching the movie made me relive a lot of those feels! The movie was great, I thought it paid great homage to the book. Not identical, but a wonderful adaptation. I am so looking forward to reading and watching the sequel next year!

TBR

To be honest, I kind of just want to go with the flow. I have a couple books I need to read for blog tours so those will definitely be done and I have a few fall ARCs, but I really just want to read something I want to. I’m not yet sure what it will be though. If anything here are some books that I do need to get to.

Confessions of a Teenage Leper by Ashley Little

Wildcard by Marie Lu

The Magic of Melwick Orchard by Rebecca Caprara

Rule by Ellen Goodlett

A Mark Unwilling by Candace Wondrak

Children of the Bloodlands by S. M. Beiko

The Demon Race by Alexandria Warwick

That’s it for me folks. I have quite a few things to do and I’m not exactly sure where to start. But I shall go where the wind takes me. NOT TO MENTION THAT THIS SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER/NOVEMBER (THE FALL SEASON) IS GOING TO BE PACKED–AND I MEAN PACKED–WITH SO MANY GOOD BOOKS. EXCITING THINGS ARE COMING OUR WAY AND I CANNOT WAIT.

What was your favourite read from this month? What was your favourite new release? What books are you excited for this fall?

Happy reading!
